Google Hates Christianity
This morning I opened my browser with Google as my home page and what do I see? This:

Ok you say that looks like Google so what? Today is Easter Sunday and Google did not ‘Googlize’ this holiday. I’m not sure if Googlize is the correct term for what they do with holidays, but I’m sure you’ve seen Google when they ‘Googlize’ a holiday. They play with the Google logo and put something in it relating to the holiday or event. Then when you click on the logo, Google does a search on that holiday or event. For example, when it was Earth Day, they Googlized it with a Earth in one of the O’s and then when you clicked on the logo, you would be taken to a search results page for ‘earth day’. They do this for score of minor holidays and events such as Purim, Kwanzaa, Spring Equinox (first day of Spring), Einstein’s Birthday, Mother’s Day, to name just a few. So why not Easter?
Shame on you Google. Easter is one of the biggest events on the Christian calendar; second to perhaps Christmas. Now they do Googlize Christmas, but Christmas has become so homogenized that it’s arguably not even a Christian holiday anymore. So back to Easter. What’s the deal Google? You put Jewish and Muslim holidays but not a Christian holiday? You could have taken the low road and put the Easter Bunny in there, but NO, you just ignored it.
A while back I had a Google blog (BlogSpot). Remember when that uproar over the Allah cartoons erupted? Remember this?

My blog was shut down a few days after I posted that cartoon! I think Google hates Christianity and supports Islam only. The omission of Easter from their Google logo lends support to that theory – admittedly a somewhat limited proof theory.
Update: A commenter noted that is this called ‘Google Doodles’. So I guess it would be called Doodlizing?
